A compact hands-free scanner that sits on the counter and reads barcodes as items are passed in front of it. The Orbit HF680 suits supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies and F&B counters where cashiers need both hands free and customers present QR codes from their phones.
Fast, hands-free checkout
A 1280 x 800 megapixel sensor and a 1 GHz processor read 1D and 2D codes quickly, including damaged or poorly printed labels and codes shown on phone screens. Cashiers simply pass items past the window instead of picking up a handheld scanner.
Tilting head for awkward items
The scan head tilts, so the scanner can be angled to suit the counter height and switched easily between hands-free use and scanning bulky items that cannot be lifted.
Built for the counter
The small footprint saves counter space, the housing is sealed to IP42 against dust and splashes, and it is rated to survive 1 m drops onto concrete. Setup is simple with EZConfig, and OPOS and JPOS drivers are available for POS software.
